Getaways Your Teen Will Love

Spring break is coming up, and parents are scrambling around trying to come up with the perfect getaway! When you have teens…that task can be 10 times more difficult! As a mom with a teen daughter, I can tell you, entertaining these almost adults is not easy! That’s why I have put together some great ideas for a Florida Spring Break getaway even your teenager will love!

#1. Santa Rosa Beach! I love this destination so much that we bought a home here! Besides being a beautiful and clean beach, there are tons of other attractions like Seaside, Watercolor, Rosemary and Alys beach. This area is considered one of the most beautiful 30A destinations! If you need a little more hustle and bustle, you can make the short drive to Destin or Panama City.

You can see our vacation home here. We rent it out as well so feel free to contact me if you want to visit this amazing area!

#2. Dry Tortugas! Located in Key West, this span of small islands includes sunken ships, a fortress, and sea turtles! The fort located here was used as a prison during eth Civil War, and later deemed a National Monument. It is part of one of the most remote National Parks in America.

#3. Three Sister Springs! This natural spring is in Crystal River, Florida, and this time of year you could find yourself swimming with manatees. If your teen has never seen one of these amazing creatures up close, it is an experience they will never forget.

#4. St. Augustine! Known as the oldest city in the states, this city boasts some of the most beautiful and well preserved Spanish architecture in America. The top attraction is Castillo de San Marcos, and old Spanish fort built between 1672 and 1695. If your teen isn’t much into history, there are also tons of cute shops and boutiques to browse through.

#5. Orlando! Most tourists come to Florida for Disney, and yes, it is a great place to visit for the whole family, but there are other wonderful things to do in Orlando. You can hit I Drive and find all types of fun. They have indoor skydiving, great restaurants, and various attractions aside from those Disney related.

The great thing about Florida is that there is ALWAYS something to do. These destinations can be a part of your trip or the full attraction!  All of these are teen approved ?
